A Leading Global Commodities Trading Firm is seeking an Experienced Risk Manager with Expert knowledge of the Physical NGLs or Petrochemicals markets for a Senior Position on the Houston Desk.
A globally renowned physcial trading firm is expanding their presence in Houston, Texas by establishing an NGLs Petrochemicals desk in the forthcoming months.
They are seeking an experienced risk manager with strong market exposure and a similar background to yourself for a leading position in the group. This is the opportunity to join one of the top 3 largest commodities trading firms globally and to directly affect the PnL and overall performance of this new venture. You will work on the desk with experienced traders and will report directly to the Head of Risk, as the most senior member of the risk function in Houston you will also be communicating extensively with senior management across the USA and in London.
This opportunity will suit a professional with the following skills and experience;
- 5+ years industry experience in the US commodities markets
- A solid background in a risk and/or control function
- Direct exposure to NGLs or petrochemicals trading desk and a strong technical understanding of physical products
- Highly motivated and an excellent communicator
- Experience working alongside traders on a daily basis
