Opportunity Parsons is seeking a Senior Program Manager with extensive road and highway design and engineering management experience to provide strategic direction to grow our core competency in the greater Los Angeles and Southern CA region. Specifically, the selected candidate will have successfully managed highway/roadway design, planning, and engineering programs and significantly contributed to maintaining a professional consulting relationship with the CA Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in this region. In this role, you will evaluate road and highway opportunities to pursue, including Public Private Partnerships (PPPs). You will also direct Parsons resources during proposal development and client presentations that may be valued up to $1 billion in total construction. As such, you will work closely with our business development team. Upon award of contracts, you will be responsible for the overall execution of the project and primary point of contact with many of our clients. This will include negotiating with regulatory agencies and support clients in public meetings in addition to monitoring budgets, scheduling, staffing plans and task execution oversight. Qualifications Requirements 20+ years of roadway and highway design experience, preferably most recently in Southern CA Track record of managerial leadership in delivering Southern CA highway system projects (more than $50 million) Thorough understanding of Caltrans, VCTC, and LA Metro project development processes Competency in client development efforts and managing/exceeding client expectations California Professional Engineer with active membership in a professional engineering society Parsons offers an ethical, challenging, diverse, rewarding and fun work experience where enthusiastic, responsible people use their energy, talent and dedication to make a difference in the world.
