Senior Safety Health Representative
Senior level position that is primarily responsible for EHS support for El Paso Pipeline Group. This position will be based in Enfield, CT with consideration for Coudersport, PA and Hamburg, NY. Specific responsibilities would include: * Develop and implement HS programs * Develop training and safety meeting material on HS programs and issues * Provide support for incident /injury reporting and tracking system (injuries, vehicles, and occurrences) including report generation and reviews * Research technical HS issues * General knowledge of Industrial Hygiene principles * General knowledge of OSHA regulations * Conduct ergonomic evaluations * Coordinate Contractor Management Program for operations area * Assist with incident investigation and emergency response issues * Perform HS facility reviews and generate report findings for management * Requires approximately 40% travel
Candidate should have a BS in Engineering, Safety or Industrial Hygiene or equivalent experience. Other qualifications include:
* Ability to project a strong professional image * Strong written and verbal skills * Strong interpersonal skills and capable of communicating difficult issues effectively * Capable of conducting effective presentations in front of management and/or operations personnel * Effective proficiency with computers and working knowledge of MSWord, Excel, and Powerpoint * Ability to problem solve difficult issues and work in a team environment * Ability to provide quality customer service * Ability to work effectively under pressure and time deadlines * Self motivated with ability to effectively manage multiple projects * Strong knowledge of OSHA and NFPA requirements for industry operations * Having Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification is beneficial, but not required
