Senior Sales Support

Role Purpose
Manages the broad scope of sales support functions for the designated sales region. Coordinates the business development efforts to enhance and sustain ongoing sales, servicing, and overall support for clients and prospects. Assist the local Investors business development team in promoting the sale investment capabilities, coordinating marketing, sales and support services, and serves as the proactive agent to enhance existing relationships and resolve complex problems. The candidate is best described as having few years of experience in the field with ambitions to become a junior sales person and ultimately a senior sales executive.

Accountabilities and deliverables

·Recognised as a junior role to External Sales
·Reports to regional head, not salesperson
·Coordinated Road shows and Events with CPM support
·Keeps "Sales focused on sales"
·Facilitates active selling
·Makes appointments
·Follows-up on meetings
·Updates Satuit (although sales still responsible for ensuring entry and accuracy)
·Pipeline Management/Prospect Tiering in conjunction with sales
·Assists in meeting preparation and background
·Market /client/prospect intelligence (Morningstar,e-vestments, 20k,etc) / Strategic Profiling
·RFP reviews
Not responsible for cold calling, infrequent client facing opportunities unless part of an approved development plan

Skills:
·Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strategic business relationships both externally with clients and internally with relevant teams
·Knowledge of the company, including history, investment resources/team/style/process, product offerings, and defined contribution
·Knowledge of financial services industry and investment products in general, including stocks, bonds, real estate, multi asset strategies, funds, annuities, defined contribution and, pension plans
·Strong organisations skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and manage conflicting priorities
·Proven ability to work independently
·Strong attention to detail and accuracy
·Intermediate computer skills including MS word, Excel, Power point
·Proven ability to aggregate compelling client presentations materials
·Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:
·Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
·Financial Industry certification in a major professional sector preferred (or required within reasonable tie after job start). Example: CPA,CFA, CFP, CIMA

Experience:
·3 - 5 years of relationship management or sales experience in the asset management industry required

Experience working with the full range of investment capabilities including but not limited to Long Only and Alternative Investments required.
