Senior Scheduler Job in San Antonio, Texas US
Position Purpose:
Assist in schedule reviews and recording schedule impacts, documenting project changes to support potential change and risk management issues, an ultimately develop Time Impact Analysis Schedules that will be used in modifications, change orders, and REAs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Create proposal schedules and schedule narratives for opportunities as assigned.
- Work as P6 Admin.
- Manage schedule, cost, and earned value data via interaction with project team members.
- Provide support for invoicing to clients and from subcontractors and vendors.
- Working with the project team, sequence project activities to ensure that project progress is on schedule.
- Analyze schedules for potential impacts and advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interference or schedule difficulties and assist in the resolution.
- Compose and/or edit letters, all communication and reports as assigned.
- Work on claim presentation and TIAs (Time impact analysis) for schedules.
- Provide required information, reports, documentation, and schedules for Change Order creation and submission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Science and 3 or more years as a Project Scheduler II or a minimum of 7 years of related Project Scheduler experience; or
- An Associate’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Science and 3 or more years as a Project Scheduler II or a minimum of 9 years of related Project Scheduler experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience/leadership in performance of Project Scheduler II accountabilities.
- Construction Industry Experience.
- Ability to assume responsibility, achieve assigned goals and work effectively with others.
- Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects or varying scope and magnitude.
- Knowledge of construction or other related technology, scheduling, procedures, project plan and specification reading are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
- Prior experience with Army Corp of Engineers or AFCEE projects preferred.
- Extensive construction background, CPM, and CSI logic.
Levels of Supervision:
- Works under the direction of the Director of Project Controls and in conjunction with Project Managers. May coordinate or supervise less experienced Project Schedulers.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently.
Working Conditions:
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds and walk a project site.
- May be required to drive on company business and be available for travel. Project site visits as assigned.
