Responsibilities
· Provide effective and enthusiastic business development planning, direction and sales leadership to grow our research oriented business.
· Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and responsible oversight for environmental science and engineering projects
· Develop a mix of research and consulting projects related to water resources, agriculture, or related fields. These may include water quality impacts, TMDLs, watershed management, sediments, hydrology and hydraulics, “water footprint” analyses, nutrients, and related surface and ground water quality assessments and modeling.
Direction Received
· Executive direction will be provided; good strategic coordination with other research and business development leaders is required.

Qualifications
· PhD in relevant water-related environmental field of engineering or science
· 10 or more years work experience in environmental sciences, engineering, academia, research or consulting in the areas described above
· Growing or established national reputation as evidenced by technical and professional awards, university or government achievement awards and involvement in technical review panels, science advisory boards, technical advisory committees and peer reviews, and extensive publication record.
· Wide network of academic and research contacts
· Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
· Motivated and enthusiastic; good mentoring skills and temperament
· People oriented and collaborative team player and skilled at participatory leadership
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability and willingness to travel as needed, mainly within the continental U.S.
· Legally able to work in the U.S. (proper identification required)
· Knowledge and appreciation of mathematical modeling of aquatic systems is a definite plus
