This position is responsible for safeguarding company information systems, including the Companies’ data and enterprise information technology assets. The Sr. Security Engineer is primarily concerned with Company information, hardware and software, and data processing and data communications. This position analyzes information security systems and applications and recommends and develops security measures to protect information assets against unauthorized modification or loss. In this role, the Sr. Security Engineer proactively monitors industry trends and identifies technologies and solutions that could benefit the Enterprise, including development and deployment of those solutions. Responsible for troubleshooting advanced network and network security problems and ensures network security policies and procedures are adhered to. Ensures adequate controls are in place to protect against unauthorized access, modification or destruction of network, data, hardware, or other company assets. Position requires oversight of organizational responsibilities to meet or exceed business objectives and SLA’s. The Security Engineer will also serve as a mentor to other team members to aid in their technical development.
DESCRIPTION:
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus preferred or equivalent work experience.
- CISSP certification
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills
- 7+ years experience in Network Security in the following disciplines: Security architectures and designs, Threat assessment and mitigation, Security development, Security management and analysis, Monitoring and reporting disciplines.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Considered an out of the box thinker and displays a willingness to learn.
- Well defined analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Good communication skills are essential. Must be able to give and receive correct information, explain difficult information in layman’s terms and maintain a customer service attitude to all levels of users.
- Complete projects and tasks independently and with limited direct supervision.
- Experience with the following REQUIRED: Cisco Routers/Switches, Cisco ACS, AAA Experience (TACACS+/Radius/Two Factor), TCP/IP, Packet Capture, Trace File Analysis, Network and Host-based Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Remote Access (IPSec and SSL VPN), Wireless Security, Web Proxies/Content Filtering.
- Solid understanding of secure computing and PCI/SOX/SAS70 compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Public key Infrastructures (PKI)
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols (TLS, IPSec)
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and Schemes (AES, 3DES, DUJKPT)
- Strong knowledge of PKCS standards
- Strong knowledge of Cryptographic Key Containers (CAPI, PKCS12)
- Ability to support certificate authentication on the following platforms (Windows, OSX, IOS, Android)
- Strong Knowledge of Certificate Enrollment Methods (PKCS10, SCEP)
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Certificate Services 2008
- Proficient working knowledge of the SafeNet line of HSM products (Luna PCI, Luna SA, Luna EFT)
- Proficient with at least 5 of the following products (Juniper Steele Belted Radius, Cisco VPN Concentrators, Bluecoat Proxy, MS Certificate Services 2008, RSA Key Manager, RSA Token Manager, Bluesocket Wireless Controllers, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Splunk, and 3rd Party CA services such as Verisign)
- Knowledge of Key Management procedures a plus
