Senior Semi-Custom Digital Designer (Schematic-based Digital Design and Design Automation) (4691) Job in Boston 02109, Massachusetts US

Our memory Interface team is looking for experienced engineers with a background in schematic-based digital design and design automation. The role includes specification and schematic creation of high-performance digital logic, integration of analog and mixed-signal designs, and script development for analysis, packaging, and release of completed design.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform timing analysis for hardware containing interactions between multiple clock domains
• Maintain relationships with external teams such as CAD, layout, and other design groups
• Participate in definition of simulation corners, design margining, and circuit guidelines
• Solve issues relating to electrical and physical verification of on-chip hardware
• Create floorplan and schematics for high-speed digital logic and structured datapaths
• Develop scripts and methodologies to automate design construction and analysis

Must Haves:

• Experience in VLSI design of microprocessors, microcontrollers, or DSPs
• Background in scripting and design automation using Perl, Tcl, and/or other languages
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Skilled with manual logic implementation and optimization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
