Senior Server Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Server Engineer for network and Active Directory administration, server support and planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Network administration including backup, security management and user account management
  • Support server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications
  • Roll out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources
  • Plan, implement and support the network and computing infrastructure plan
  • Manage small to medium sized projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules
  • Assist with technology planning through ongoing research

    Requirements:

  • Five or more years experience administering medium-sized server networks, desktop systems and communications devices
  • High degree of familiarity with Windows servers and desktop products
  • Experience with Active Directory administration, VM Ware and backup technologies is required
  • Experience with EMC Clariion, HP Servers, and NetBackup
  • Exchange experience
  • Scripting experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to administer a 5000+ node network
  • Networked printer and multifunction copier support experience
  • Working knowledge of current communications devices, protocols and server and desktop technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously
  • Facilitation and change management skills
  • Independent task management skills
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2003 or higher is required
  • MCTS Certification is desired
  • Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration is desired
