Senior Server Engineer. Our client is looking for a Senior Server Engineer on a temporary to permanent basis to work within a Financial Service environment. The Senior Server Engineer will support the server estate, including file servers, virtual servers and associated server devices. The role will be to ensure that the systems / services are available and performing to business requirements.
The Senior Server Engineer will require experience on the following:
• HP Enclosure, Blades and physical servers
• Microsoft Operating systems
• Active Directory – Multi Domains and sites
• Storage – HP EVA ibm xIv, Netapps
• VMWare – Virtual Servers and Virtual Desktop
• Backups – Commvault
• Email – Lotus Notes, MS Exchange, Blackberry
The ideal candidate will come from a background of:
• Server Support / Project work
• Working within Financial Services on Global projects
• Being technically strong on HP Hardware, MS Windows, VMWare, Storage, Backups and faxing
• Mentoring teams taking a technical lead on implementations, Support and maintenance
• Improving the server environment and processes
