Senior Settlements Operations Specialist / Settlements Fixed Income Operations Specialist recruitment
My client is a leading multi-strategy Hedge Fund with a dynamic investment strategy that include: Fixed Income, Statistical Arbitrage, Futures/Currency, and Options. They are looking for an experienced Settlements Specialist to work within the Operations team responsible for maintaining timely accurate settlement details for all Fixed Income products assigned to the geographical desk across the LaTAm and EMEA operations.
The team will be responsible for the end of day/end of month position reconciliation to the system of record supporting trading activity within Fixed Income, Credit Swap and FX products.
Essential Function/Duties:
- Proven Track record and experience within an EM operations/settlements at Investment Bank or Hedge Fund
- Responsible for monitoring, reconciling and reporting any risk items and liability inherent in various functions of the UK fixed Income operation.
- You will have expert knowledge within the LaTAm and EMEA operations with expert knowledge on risk/compliance and capable of working in a fast paced high volume environment.
- Additionally you will have some understanding market-specific requirements for daily operational processing for Asian, UK and US based investment managers and ensuring that any risk issues are raised to the direct managers.
- Support all post trade processes including reconciling positions/transactions with prime brokers, pre-matching, dispute resolution and settlement of trading activity. This includes a thorough and in depth understanding of settlement both through central depositories such as Euroclear, as well as strong practical experience and knowledge of domestic settlements across a broad spectrum of EM markets in EMEA and LaTAm.
- Have a solid understanding in mechanics and practical application and processing of Fixed Income, Credit, Swap, Futures and FX products. This includes a particular emphasis and vast practical experience in dealing with cash and credit swap trading of EM names/products.
- Monitor cash balances and overdrafts between several Prime brokers
- Work with Primebrokers and counterparties to resolve daily issues
