This role works with the development teams including Software, Hardware and Systems teams to define the requirements, architecture and design of the PETMR software. This role will provide expert guidance and support to the software team in various technical/functional aspects of research, development and engineering. Essential Responsibilities " Specifying the requirements for PETMR software working with systems, hardware, marketing and clinical application teams. " Driving the definition of PETMR software architecture and design including interfaces with firmware, hardware and other software subsystems " Leading software teams through the entire design cycle including requirements generation, design, documentation, and implementation, verification validation " Interacting with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related computer field, OR Bachelors Degree and 4 years of technical experience in software development 2. A minimum of 8 years experience in developing complex system software with atleast 2 years of it in the role of a software architect 3. Demonstrated hands-on experience in all steps of Software development life cycle including project planning, requirements definition, design, algorithm development, coding, review, testing, documentation and maintenance. 4. Demonstrated experience in object oriented design methodology, design patterns and programming languages including C/C++ and Java in Unix/Linux environment. 5. Working knowledge of configuration management tools 6. Demonstrated experience in team leadership and ability to give technical direction to the team 7. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time 8. Must be willing to work in our Waukesha, WI facility full-time 9. Experience developing software applications for medical devices like MRI, PET, CT, etc. or other such complex hardware-software-firmware systems.
