Description:
In conjunction with Volt Workforce Solutions, our client seeks a Senior Software Developer to join their Technology Management team. In this position, you will be part of an existing team responsible for the development and support of online billing and payment processing solutions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Apply full technical and functional understanding of online billing and payment applications to address issues and drive improvements.
- Investigate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and support multiple front end and middle layer applications for online billing and payment processing using Java technology.
- Use technical and problem-solving skills to support ongoing software development projects of small to large scope; design, develop, and implement product enhancements and implementations.
- Participate in the development of audience-appropriate documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Interact with various internal teams to understand the business requirements and provide solutions.
- Work with enterprise architecture leads to incorporate the architectural vision of the division into the products in development.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise to internal teams and external clients.
We have 2 positions with this client! They are contingent to hire! We are looking for solid experience in both batch and UI development. UNIX and Windows platforms. These positions require Technical level on-call support and production hot fixes. All applicants should have excellent troubleshooting skills.

Requirements:
- Strong Java, J2EE (JDK 1.4+) programming skills; good knowledge of MVC, Servlets, and Web session management.
- Experience with Java frameworks - Prefer JSF experience. Also, consider Struts and Spring experience.
- Working knowledge with WebLogic server; knowledge of Tomcat is a bonus.
- Good working knowledge of developing UI screens (HTML, DHTML) and client side scripting i.e. JavaScript.
- Development experience with MyEclipse.
- Awareness to web security practices such as PCI compliance and OWASP security standards.
- Experience working with HTTPHTTPS protocol.
- Extensive working experience with Unix commands.
- Working experience with Oracle/Sql Server and C#/ASP.Net/MVC is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate to all levels of an organization internally and externally.
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be adaptable and willing to learn, be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to facilitate a collective team of technical and non-technical personnel to build best solutions.
- Must value quality and have very strong attention to detail.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
