Adecco Engineering Technical has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy mission-critical enterprise software and hardware for Fortune 500 customers here in Austin, TX!

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain enterprise systems with 24/7 availability that require interfaces to ERP, CRM, WMS, or WCS solutions, performing advanced reporting, analytics, and algorithms applying knowledge of J2EE, JMS, JTS, and Service Oriented Architecture

  • Deploy and design enterprise applications with feature-rich UI comparable with consumer web applications using JSP, Struts, and JavaScript

  • Work with various database systems, using JDBC, Hibernate or similar technologies for database abstraction layering

  • Work with unit testing tools that improve code testing and QA timeline, applying knowledge of Junit, HTTPUnit, DBUnit, and other unit testing tools.

    • Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years Java development experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

  • Experience in developing and shipping complex and successful commercial, enterprise software

  • Strong object-oriented design skills

  • Strong database skills

  • Strong unit testing skills

  • Strong customer facing skills

  • Ability to travel 30-40%

    • Technical:

  • JMS

  • Relational Databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Informix)

  • OLTP/OLAP

  • Hibernate (or other ORM experience)

  • JSP, HTML

  • Struts /Spring

  • Eclipse (or other IDE experience)
