comScore is hiring experienced back-end Software Engineers to help design and build high-scale applications that process very large datasets, which few companies ever experience. Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Reston, VA
Reports to: Director, Software Engineering
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Actively participate in all parts of the software development process, from problem analysis all the way through to deployment
• Design and code components for a processing framework that works on big data
• Work closely with the business team to innovate and turn ideas into reality
Qualifications:
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• A solid foundation in computer science with strong analytic competencies
• Several years of experience with
o designing and coding on large systems
o writing and tuning code to be highly performant
o database design and SQL
o .NET and C#
• Experience with Hadoop and other NoSQL solutions a plus
• Experience with TDD a plus
