Senior Software Engineer Job in Telecommute
Description:
JANUS Research Group is an industry leader in the development of serious games and 3D training simulations for government clients. JANUS is currently hiring software engineers to develop and support a crime scene training simulation for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Work can be performed on-site at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA or remotely from any location is acceptable
Requirements:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years experience in the following:
• Writing interactive game or simulation programs using object-oriented methods in a non memory-managed language such as C++
• Writing UnrealScript for game or simulation projects in the Unreal Engine 3 or Unreal Development Kit (UDK)
• User testing
• Debugging
Preferred
The ideal candidate will also have the following experience:
• Working with Unreal Engine 3 source code
• Writing scripts for the Unity 3D game engine
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant technical field
Experience Education:
• Minimum five (5) years applicable work experience with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline
• A Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline preferred
• Evidence of outstanding technical ability – such as participating in the development of a commercially successful game – can be substituted for the requirement of three years of professional experience.
