External responsibilities
This candidate will be responsible for participating in the design and enhancement of the Kenexa 2X On boarding product. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the technical direction of the software, impact major new functionality, and mentor junior engineers.
As a Sr Java Developer, you can expect to:
· Participate in the design and architecture of the 2xOnboard application as well as the underlying multi-tier infrastructure
· Be responsible for timely resolution of customer issues in a SAAS environment
· Mentor junior engineers
· Work closely with Product and Project Management
· Be responsible for innovative and creative solutions to complex technical problems
· Work cross-functionally with other application teams, Quality Assurance, and Hosting Work with geographically and internationally dispersed teams
This is an opportunity to work with the latest technologies including JSF, Hibernate, and AJAX. Working as part of a team that does what it takes to ensure success, you will design and implement this multi-tier internet application to achieve high reliability and scalability.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Product development, documentation of design, unit testing and integration testing
· A delivery focused attitude with the ability to drive tasks forward and meet demanding deadlines.
External requirements
Candidates applying for this job should have and be prepared to demonstrate the following skills:
· Solid experience developing Java/J2EE applications using JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, Hibernate, EJB, and JDBC.
· Experience and knowledge of database design and development using SQL and Oracle 9i/10G.
· Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements and design solutions based on those requirements
· Experience developing and optimizing code deployed for use in a web application with many concurrent users and a very high transaction rate.
· Experience developing an enterprise level product from initial design and implementation through deployment to a production environment.
· Experience working with JSF is desired.
· Experience developing with JBOSS and SEAM in an EJB3 environment is desired.
Profile:
· BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 10+ year’s relevant experience.
· Candidate should have excellent communication and analytical skills and be able to work well in a team focused environment.
· Exposure to HR Domain is a plus.
