About the Job

The Senior Product Manager of IntraLinks’ Debt Capital Markets products will be responsible for evolving our existing product line to meet the needs of our leadership position in this market.  IntraLinks is committed to deepening our investment in this market and this role will be responsible for leading the definition and development of the next generation products and solutions. 

The position will report directly to the manager of the Vertical Business Applications within Product Management and will work closely with Product Marketing, Product Development, and the Services organization to ensure a full product offering is winning in the market.

The Product Management Team works closely with the product line, directly within the market and cross functionally within the organization to identify and evaluate product opportunities and ensure their success in the market with rigorous validation and product packaging.

 

Responsibilities

The person will work closely with the product line, directly within the market and cross functionally within the organization to identify and evaluate product opportunities and ensure their success in the market with rigorous validation and product packaging.

The position will report directly to the manager of the Vertical Business Applications within Product Management and will work closely with Product Marketing, Product Development, and the Services organization to ensure a full product offering is winning in the market.

Domain Expertise:

·         Identify and analyze product opportunities for their commercial impact and competitive differentiation.

·         Identify build/buy/partner approaches, recommend proposal with supporting business case.

 

Product Definition:

·         Identify and analyze product opportunities for their commercial impact and competitive differentiation.

·         Identify build/buy/partner approaches, recommend proposal with supporting business case.

·         Provide business process analysis that defines the problem statements, user goals and their processes that the solution will meet.

·         Establish clear priorities for product investment.

·         Validate and refine requirements with selected prospects to ensure marketability.

·         Define product position and key messages to support significant marketing campaign.

·         Develop and refine pricing, work with Product Marketing to develop pricing strategy that is compatible with workspace pricing.

 

Product Roadmap and Execution:

·         Manage product evolution via defined roadmap that drives revenue profitability.

·         Define 18 month product roadmap that drives client acquisition and retention

·         Manage/oversee product development to ensure requirements are met and within budget

·         Manage Product Priorities and Decision Making

·         Develop client/prospect working group to drive, prioritize and define product roadmap.

 

Partner Management:

·         Product liaison for partnerships supporting the business segment.

·         Manage development and service budgets related to any outsourced components.

 

Sales:

·         Support the sales strategy with appropriate product messaging.

·         Support direct sales with key client/prospect opportunities that help establish the offering/capability in the market and support handoff to sales engineering and service.

·         Develop the required sales tools in collaboration with product marketing marketing communications

 

Customer Support:

·         Define/refine service level agreements and ensure a managed hand off to customer support.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications

 

·         Education

·         Minimum years’ experience - 7-10 years of experience in a product management function and a demonstrated success in defining or leading in the definition of a market aligned product strategy. 

·         Technology

·         Proven ability to quickly understand business domain, analyze and define related processes and identify product opportunities that provide competitive differentiation.  This position is closely aligned with a business segment where business domain expertise will be essential in gaining the insights to inform the winning product strategy.

·         Demonstrated ability to work within the market/target client community to identify and evaluate product opportunities including understanding their commercial opportunity, competitive impact and ensuing through rigorous validation defining the minimum viable offering to realize the opportunity.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills including client facing engagement and presentation.

·         Strong cross-functional team development, management and communication.

 

Desired Qualifications

 

·          The candidate will ideally come from the software as a service (SaaS) market and, with either content, business process or customer relationship management experience or with financial services software.  It is highly preferred that the candidate have familiarity and knowledge of the financial services industry and ideally be knowledgeable in either alternative investments and/or the debt capital markets.
