Senior Product(software) Manager

 

 

Job Summary:

The Senior Product Manager leads the development of existing and the next-generation proprietary software solutions, directly impacting Textura’s customers and our business results.

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for our strategic “roadmap” features.  The Senior Product Manager will work with customers and Client Services leaders in order to define the vision for our products and drive agreement around solutions with customers as well as internal stakeholders. 

We are looking for experienced innovators; people with backgrounds including product development, product lifecycle management, functional / process analysis, emergent technology trends – applying all the above to our customer’s processes is where it starts.  Good product design is where it ends. 

 

Roles/Responsibilities:

·         Work closely with our customers, sales organization and client services group to elicit requirements for features across a product category

·         Proactively seek out leadership opportunities ( wide discretion and Textura-wide impact) by establishing product vision and enhancements that add value to clients

·         Facilitate customer meetings at all levels, resolving requirements issues, and gaining buy-in for solutions

·         Manage the planning / estimating pipeline

·         Integrate the design of software applications or features to develop a technically and functionally leading-edge, high value SaaS solution

·         Partner with Software Development (engineering) and Quality Assurance leadership to ensure solutions match requirements

·         Apply knowledge of application database and system design with development and stakeholders to maximize trade offs (e.g. performance/usability)

·         Abstract up from functional, process, data details to a general understanding of customer needs

·         Facilitate internal and external resources in the execution of UAT's (User Acceptance Tests)

·         Drive quality solutions through requirement specifications using behavior/testing driven development scripts

·         Management / coaching of Product team members

·         Significant travel to customer sites including international

·         Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

·         Product Management experience across a full product lifecycle including software solutions or SaaS solutions

·         Seven to ten years of business experience with five or more years of technology product experience including full-cycle project implementations

·         Experience in an Agile environment

·         Three years Business Process Reengineering (BPR) experience within new product development for a technology firm

·         Must possess a track record of innovation and execution in a high-pressure environment

·         Expertise in Internet systems design and implementation (both textbook and experience-based)

·         Ability to identify critical issues within product specifications, design, and development and establish resolutions quickly and efficiently

·         Must have a strong customer orientation with the  ability to balance conflicting requirements and timeframes

·         Must possess a track record of innovation and execution in a high-pressure environment

·         Ability to make timelyand high-quality decisions based on limited information

·         Aware of industry solutions and trends as they impact future development of Textura solutions

·         Ability to facilitate customer meetings resolving issues and providing solutions

 

Education:

·         A minimum of a Master’s degree in computer science, business or a related field is required
