Senior Solution Architect
The IT department Service Production enable the Domain IT's to provide a seamless service experience for their business. Team Solution Integration within Service Production is responsible for defining Swiss Re's techncial application architecture and driving a quality assurance process. The opportunity As Senior Solution Architect, you will play a key role in the solution delivery process by supporting IT projects in our global organization with application architecture blueprints, quality assessments and the troubleshooting of run issues, e.g. poor system performance.
Your main tasks are:
1) Ensure the quality of the solution design and application architecture, and the solution implementation.
2) Deliver architectural blueprints and Best Practice documents. Produce and maintain a catalogue of solution blueprints, How-to documents and Knowledge Base articles.
3) Foster a community of designers and architects, and provide them with a learning path on new technology, lessons learned and the sharing of personal knowledge. Ideally, you started your career as a software developer, gained exposure to Java/JEE, assumed a chief developer or project architect role, and you are now looking for a job with a global impact and a broad technology mix. You have a passion for technology and you also are curious about the big picture.
About you
- Expert in technical solution design, technology architecture and integrating systems and interfacing solution components and concepts
- Experience in designing, developing and implementing solutions
- Good understanding of enterprise IT architecture
- Practical and theoretical skills in applying state of-the-art procedures, tools and methods to realize IT solutions
- University Bachelors or Masters Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Business Studies or a related topic
- Exposure to insurance or financial industry preferred
- Experienced in managing suppliers and vendors
- Experienced in leading a function or project, including planning, prioritising and administrating work
This is a 100% FTE, however we would consider a 50%/50% split FTE for the right candidates
