Providing a high quality, cost effective legal and business service with an emphasis on innovation and providing credible options/solutions (e.g. financial, strategic and reputational/risk management) directly to senior management and their business areas.
As a Senior Specialist Lawyer - Corporate Legal your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
*Solicitor qualified in England Wales with significant PQE or Practising Barrister with significant post calling experience.
* Communicate effectively with external bodies and external lawyers
* Keep abreast of external activities to enable the department to manage risk and apply best practice
As a Senior Specialist Lawyer - Corporate Legal main responsibilities will involve:
* The role requires a skilled professional with relevant experience and technical excellence including specific corporate legal experience.
* Capable of working closely with and influencing senior management.
* A very broad knowledge of all aspects of corporate legal, including MA and internal restructuring together with a thorough understanding of Financial Services as a whole, its drivers, challenges and market practices.
* A very good working knowledge of the UK regulatory framework, with particular emphasis on anti-trust / competition law for Financial Services is essential.
* Technical excellence must be coupled with outstanding communication and teamwork skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders within the bank.
