Senior Specialist Risk Delivery
CommInsure's Retail Advice business covers life insurance, death, TPD and income protection products that are distributed to end customers through Independent Financial Advisors, Commonwealth Financial Planning and aligned Dealer Groups.
A rare opportunity has become available for a risk professional to join our business on a contract basis. This individual will have the ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and promote risk excellent across the Retail Advice business.
You will be responsible for:
Executing, or facilitating the execution of the CommInsure risk management framework through the provision of advice and support in relation to all risk framework components.
Understand the impacts of compliance and the legal aspects surrounding the Retail Advice business and identify and implement the necessary activities to ensure that these are managed.
Take ownership of any Policy and Procedure assigned to this role and ensure ongoing maintenance.
Act as a point of coordination for the execution of major or cross-Business Area risk tasks, and represent the Retail Advice business where necessary to provide feedback on risk-related issues.
Ensure frameworks and controls are in place and are effective in ensuring the Retail Advice team adheres to the Group's governance policies and standards, and take corrective action when non-compliance is identified.
Contribute to profitable growth by providing pragmatic and commercially viable risk advice in all areas.
Identify areas where, consistent with all obligations, risk-related tasks can be streamlined by employing principles of process excellence.
You will have
Relevant tertiary qualifications and a proven track record of operating within an audit or risk function, preferably within the life insurance sector.
Strong risk management and compliance awareness.
Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
Excellent data and analytical skills
