SENIOR SQA NETWORK ENGINEER
The Select Group is looking for a Senior SQA Network Engineer for a 6 month right to hire position in Raleigh NC.
This person must have experience with formalizing test management and past experience in debugging highly complex data/wireless/servers/databases/SAN/Loadbalancer environments. Additionally must maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provide feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software and ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
Duties Responsibilities:
- Lead product release and internal SQA projects.
- Coordinate project schedules and resources.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for testing processes and tools.
- Develop and execute software test plans, test designs, test objectives, and test cases
- Identify, analyze and document defects, questionable behavior, errors and inconsistencies with application functionality, output, online screens and content.
- Develop automated test solutions using state-of-the-art software testing tools and practices.
- Work with software development engineers in product design, code reviews, and walkthroughs and product lifecycle inspections.
- Problem investigation and resolution.
- Respond to inquiries from technical support regarding functions and operation of software applications.
- Report test results and analysis.
- Verify documentation and on-line help content.
- Perform knowledge transfer sessions for Services, Support Center and other staff.
Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of software testing experience within one or more of the following environments:
· Highly complex data/wireless/server/DB/SAN/Loadbalancer environments.
· Additional experience in formalized test management methods and SDLC is highly preferred
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
