Senior / Staff Program Manager Job in Boulder 80301, Colorado US
As a Senior Program Manager located
in our Design Center in Longmont, CO reporting to the Senior Director in
Marketing  Strategy, Core Products Group you will be a member of the core
team with a primary focus on being the "Voice of the Customer" this includes
bringing the customer requirements to the core team and providing the product
update and status to the customer.  Primary responsibilities are: 
- Working with the Seagate customer qualification teams
 to developing a comprehensive qualification plan, including the test
 requirements and customer qualification drive requirements.
- During the product qualification the program manager
 prepares a weekly update for the customers. This includes the
 product testing status, Firm Ware (FW) delivery status, any Failure Analysis
 (FA) status and other details related to the product qualification.
- PM is responsible to bring the customer status and
 sentiment back into the design center. This includes presentations
 and updates to the core team (daily), the functional management team
 (Weekly product updates) and the executive team (Monthly operations
 reviews). Highlight and key customer sensitivities (Power,
 performance, reliability, compatibility, etc) in these updates.
- Work with the business team to provide updates on the
 risk and opportunities (Program and customer specific). Interface
 with the production facility to track drive configurations, delivery
 status, and factory control metrics (ODT, ORT, yields, etc).
- Work with the Far East manufacturing site(s) to provide
 customer drive requirements (CTU’s CDU’s) that meet the minimum
 configuration requirements, drive delivery timing, and customer fit for
 use. This includes considering factors and factory metrics such as
 yield.
 
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree.
-  5 or more years
 of technical experience.
- Experience in disc drive technology or server or
 storage system level experience.
- Experience working with external customers
 (communication and interaction).
- Experience  working
 with cross functional teams.
- Experience working with project management tools (MS
 Project, Excel, critical path, critical risk, stake holder inclusion).
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in an engineering.
- PMP Certification.
- Ability to develop a clear communication plan /
 strategy that meets the customer needs while supporting the product
 strategy. This communication, to be successful, needs to provide
 clarity especially while the final data and details are yet to be fully
 understood.
- Need
 to have a high level of personal follow through on commitments that are
 made to the customers. This requires doing what it takes to deliver,
 breaking down barriers, working the Seagate network, and escalating when
 required.
