Responsibilities

Overview

You will be required to define business requirements, develop and maintain standards and market practices for the payments, securities and trade finance markets. The key tasks of this role include planning and execution of project plans, building and maintaining business and logical models, facilitating working groups and representing the company in industry groups. This role will also involve consultancy on the implementation of the standards and rollout of standards products, in support of company’s strategy and plans.

Details of Responsibilities

• Analyzing and defining business needs and capturing industry requirements to develop and/or support the development of standards

• Coordinating standard development and liaising with internal specialists and/or external customers/markets/standard bodies and working groups in order to ensure the correct definition and use of new standards and maintaining correct business and logical models

• Ensuring the smooth roll-out of standards by coordinating the set-up of testing/implementation tools and the generation of adequate documentation

• Facilitating standards working groups and/or providing advice and guidance to internal/external customers/vendors to ensure correct implementation of standards and market practice setting

• Providing coaching and guidance on payments business topics to colleagues and key customers, and delivering standards consultancy services

• Representing company at industry meetings and events

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in banks or FI

• In-depth knowledge of either within the financial industry

Standards knowledge (MT, ISO 15022, ISO 20022, FpML, FPL, etc) and market practice experience is a significant plus

• Awareness of current financial market initiatives and drivers, specifically those in Asia Pacificis a plus

• Approachable and persuasive personality

• Willingness to travel around in the Singapore and occasional overseas trips to head quarters

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Knowledge of other APAC languages, e.g., Mandarin is a plus.
