I am working with a Global Steel trading house that is expanding its presence across the African markets. They are seeking to add a number of individuals to their team to develop their presence across Africa. The individual will have a good knowledge of steel within the African market.
Responsibilities for this position:
- Responsible for building and developing new clients and business activities across the appropriate region in addition to maintaining relationships with the existing client base.
- Trade a profitable book of physical steel products.
- Would have extensive knowledge in Long and Flat Products.
- Assist in expansion plans of the team across the appropriate region; with the long term view of building the team in that location.
- Utilise existing relationships and networks in the respective regions to increase coverage and market share.
- Skills/ Attributes required for the role:
- 3-5 years of steel trading experience.
- Proven track records of trading physical markets.
- Specialised knowledge Steel Products.
- Well established knowledge and networks across the region.
- Highly motivated and driven
- Good communication skills.
- Being willing to travel to Africa
