Senior Steel Trader
I am working with a leading metals trading house that is expanding its presence across the Scandinavian, African and Central American markets. They are seeking to add an experienced steel trader in the respective regions to develop their coverage and market share.
Responsibilities for this position:
- Responsible for building and developing new clients and business activities across the appropriate region in addition to maintaining relationships with the existing client base.
- Trade a profitable book of physical steel products.
- Assist in expansion plans of the team across the appropriate region; with the long term view of building the team in that location.
- Utilise existing relationships and networks in the respective regions to increase coverage and market share.
Skills/ Attributes required for the role:
- 3-5 years of steel trading experience.
- Proven track records of trading physical markets.
- Specialised knowledge in pipes, tin and pre painted material is beneficial.
- Well established knowledge and networks across the region.
- Highly motivated and driven
- Good communication skills.
