Joining the design team at our European head office near Amsterdam, you will be responsible for the design of Nike’s stores across Europe, designing layouts, storefronts, elevations, fixtures and fittings for stores of various sizes and complexities.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Design Director, you will develop and drive innovative solutions for various retail environments, creating unique solutions for site-specific conditions.
- Utilize exceptional design skills and demonstrate innovation in creating original designs.
- Communicate and present design concepts; create presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts.
- Ensure feasibility of designs and develop an expertise in individual territory building practices.
- Share knowledge, experience and skill with other design staff; working with design counterparts to ensure continuity across category lines / areas of focus.
- Work closely with Experience Design team to bring brand essence to life in every store.
Requirements:
- Architectural or interior design degree, with 8-9 years’ experience in retail.
- Expert-level knowledge of current trends, colour, technology and other design influencers.
- Strong software knowledge and skills, including 3D modelling. Ability to hand-sketch essential.
- Experience directing local architects.
- Ability to express brand image in spatial terms.
- Ability to identify and tap into trends in retail, architecture, industrial and other kinds of design.
