Senior Strategy Development Manager
Greenfield opportunity in a newly created team within a global financial services company has arisen. The Senior Strategy Development Manager will be brought on-board to identify and lead the major strategic projects from concept through to strategic planning phase that support the company's retail lending (mortgages and consumer lending ) 2016 vision.
Working alongside the most senior stakeholders in Retail Lending (MD level), you will develop this business area from scratch and assume responsibility across the whole of consumer lending and mortgages which represents one third of the PL.
You will play a leading role in supporting the senior management team and councils to set and refine the vision and strategy for mortgages and consumer lending. In this matrix management environment, you will work effectively to lead virtual project teams across Finance, Sales, Product Channel teams, Analytics Insight, to shape key opportunities using structured thinking.
You will develop out, financials, customer and colleague impact and key risks opportunities as well as lead the development of a pipeline of recommendations and clearly articulate these to council and key stakeholders.With a focus on innovation you will drive best practice systematic external market, competitive financial, customer insight and opportunity analysis in order to establish and aticulate biggest and most impactful potential opportunities for mortgages and consumer lending.
To be considered for this role you will have held a similar strategic role where you can demonstrate how you have effectively influenced others to adopt key commercial opportunities and demonstrate how you have worked effectively with a variety of functional stakeholders across a matrix organization. You need to have detailed knowledge of strategy frameworks and development as well as in-depth knowledge of the economy, market, competition and customer trends affecting the business. Further, a solid understanding of how to use analytics for opportunity and business case development as well as knowledge and practical experience of working effectively with business disciplines (sales, marketing, finance, operations IT) is required. Previous consultancy experience is highly desirable as is retail banking experience.
