Senior Structured Product Reviewer & Controller
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structured Product Reviewer Controller (SSPRC) to form an integral part of the senior management team for a leading high growth, multi jurisdictional financial institution.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the SSPRC will be responsible for assessing the integrity, comprehensiveness and performance of all new existing multi asset transactionsand portfolios. These portfolios and transactions are not vanilla but will be highly structured.
To successfully accomplish this role the SSPRC will need to have a detailed understanding of the mathematics underlying the Group’s portfolios and transactions, thereby, being able to monitor, track, supervise and ultimately mitigate the inherent risks associated with all new and existing transactions and portfolios.
The Role challenges:
- Review and test underlying modeling assumptions and provide guidance on adjusting these assumptions if market conditions change
- Monitor and track transactions and portfolios during their lifecycle
- Challenge robustness of a transaction or portfolio - understand the commercial drivers of the business transaction and portfolios and extrapolate this into measurable projections and forecasts
- Lead the way in fundamental control procedural change consistent with a high growth business.
- Independently validate the valuation of portfolios and structure of transactions. This will include review and validation of inputs and simulations
- Assist with new business approval processes
You must have sophisticated modeling structuring experience preferably within the structured credit or fixed income area. An added bonus will be knowledge of MA and principal investment deals.
You also must be able to show a track record of written and oral communications and presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders.
