We are looking for our Department Structured Trading in Düsseldorf for a/an
Senior Structured Trader Southern Europe (m/f)
Your Responsibilities
- Manage and expand EGCs structured trading activities in Southern Europe. Originate and close structured gas transactions with an attractive risk/reward profile. Delivery of challenging financial targets and associated performance measures.
- Product scope includes non-standard transactions with embedded optionality like physical/virtual storage transport or swing as well as tailored solutions for counterparties and larger scale transactions.
- Build up and maintain long lasting relationships with counterparties in the European gas market based on mutual trust (trading counterparties, producers, banks, new entrance (e.g. LNG producers) large industrials including gas to power operators etc.)
- Follow gas market and regulatory developments in respective markets. Identify opportunities based on these developments and a profound understanding of counterparty portfolio situations.
- Team-up with other Merchant Trading teams and support Asset Optimisation to identify and best monetize E.ON gas assets.
Your Profile
- At least 5 years of working experience including first team leadership experience
- Excellent understanding of the Southern European gas market particularly France, Italy and Spain
- Distinct commercial awareness; definitive sense for business opportunities and good deal making skills like structuring, pricing, negotiation etc.
- Ability to create and maintain long lasting relationships with counterparties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of additional languages would be a plus
