Summary:
A multinational asset management company is looking for a Senior Support Analyst to lead a team of support analyst in this rapidly growing company in the Asian market.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd tier support to Traders in local and remote offices in Asia.
- Investigate faults relating to desktop applications and their configuration, identify and implement appropriate solutions as well as escalate issues when necessary.
- Participate in global projects.
- Lead and coach junior members of the team.
- Resolve issues promptly and effectively regarding software and hardware.
- Complete software/hardware installs, upgrades, ad-hoc project activity, moves and roll outs as and when requested, to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
- Document all processes as well as maintain a central library for all procedures and best practice guidelines.
- Maintain the server room and ensure the stability of the IT infrastructure.
- Call management, includes logging and taking ownership, updating, closing calls correctly, using the appropriate categories and escalating when appropriate.
- Provide technology planning and IT cost analysis.
- Provide Disaster Recovery Planning and conduct DR tests.
- When requested assist the infrastructure team to provide intelligent hands-on support.
Requirements:
- Holder of a Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines; Certified with MCSE would be an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a desktop support role or equivalent technical role.
- Strong experience in a client facing desktop support role gained within the Financial Services industry.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the technologies, equipment and software appropriate to the business, including Windows operating system platforms, PDA devices, Microsoft Applications and Network Fundamentals
- Network and telephony patching experience.
- Proven track record of success coupled with proven knowledge of industry best practice for Desktop Support and Service Delivery.
- Demonstrate commitment and ability to provide exceptional service to internal Clients, at all levels.
- Strong communication skills especially in regards to English.
- Excellent soft skills and people oriented.
- Project leading and coaching experience a strong plus.
