SENIOR SUPPORT ENGINEER (HONG KONG) recruitment
Due to continued expansion and commitment to the Asia region a newly created headcount has been created with a global financial services vendor. The successful candidate will be utilized in a front of line client facing role supporting customized solutions for exchange clients in the Asia Region. Working across all aspects of SDLC and application support the position allows global contact with teams in Europe and the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with external clients to ensure system availability and continual improvements
- Full development lifecycle exposure including analysis, design, development, test and implementation of the systems
- Solve problems and fix bugs in existing product versions
- Ensuring quality software is released to the customer on time
- Software enhancements and support of the Commercial Software product set as per client demand
- Become a technology expert in given areas essential to the successful implementation of the role
Key Requirements
- High level of conversational and written Chinese and English
- Minimum of 2 years development experience in C or C++, preferably on a UNIX platform (Solaris or Linux). Those with scripting language (Python, Shell, Bash or Perl) and who have developed multi-threaded applications of particular interest
- Knowledge of financial market data and the distribution of data advantageous
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to both internal stakeholders and to clients
- Ability to travel and work off-site for long periods often on client premises
