Senior System Administrator Messaging Job in Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Our client, a reputable energy provider is looking to expand their IT in Mississauga . We are currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Administrator.

Your opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior System Administrator to join a growing and leading energy provider! Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technology Services, in this role you will be a technical expert and go to person on all facets of system administration. You will play an essential role in researching, designing, planning and coordinating the server infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, improvements and/or newly required service deployments and providing expert level support within IT.

Your primary accountabilities:

· Research, design, plan and coordinate server infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, improvements and/or newly required service deployments

· Participate in operational and business critical projects through the scoping, planning, execution, and implementation

· Analyze service incidents and problems, identify risks, provide recommendations, and implement solutions

· Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and server infrastructure policies, standards and diagrams

· Participate in the on call rotation and will require after hours work for planned changes and incident resolution, and provide expert level support to the IT Operations team

Your qualifications:

· Must have in depth understanding of Active Directory Infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, IAS, Clustering services, Windows Security, deployment services, DFS and other Microsoft infrastructure services.

· Must have a superior understanding of Windows 2003, 2008 and be able to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems.

· Must have expert level knowledge of Exchange 2010 and BES systems. Lync, OCS and Unified messaging experience is an advantage.

· Must have experience with Sharepoint, System Center line of products, Microsoft clusters, web farms, ISA, UAG, TMG and other systems security products.

· Must have good knowledge of windows scripting languages, vbscript, powershell etc.

· Must be familiar with standard server hardware builds and have previous experience with blade infrastructure.

· Must have excellent technical design and documentation skills and be able to mentor other team members and help with the design and build of various solutions.

· Experience with financial software, Microsoft Dynamics, Hyperion, corporate HR software suites is an advantage.

· Experience with VMWare, Linux, SAN and backup software is an advantage.

· Understanding and experience setting up and utilizing disaster recovery solutions.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.

· Effective at managing multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure, along with proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
