Senior System Engineer – Open Storage recruitment
We need a highly experienced engineer with in depth storage/SAN/IT experience to provide technical leadership, troubleshoot and determine the future of our enterprise storage needs.
The opportunity
You will provide technical leadership for enterprise storage and troubleshoot daily SAN/storage issues that arise, in addition to providing direct input to the strategic direction of the enterprise storage environment.
You will also offer experience in architecting optimal, stable, and flexible solutions aligned with our business initiatives and IT strategy.
Focusing on the operation of the existing environment, you'll determine current and future enterprise storage/SAN needs, and provide concepts and best practices related to storage/SAN technologies in order to accommodate both business and technology.
About you
You have a BS and/or MS degree in Computer Science, IT or similar and over five years' enterprise Storage/SAN and IT experience. You have a solid understanding of HDS enterprise storage arrays, Brocade Director Class Switches and HP EVA Storage Arrays. You also have in-depth knowledge of SAN Fabric concepts and architecture and FCP principles.
You can create reports and perform deep analysis in a SAN environment (Fabric Watch, SAN health, Bottleneckmon etc.). Able to work in a global team environment, you are fluent in English and ideally have some knowledge of German.
