Senior Systems Analyst
The "Employee Compliance" product team in the Corporate Technology Group (CTG) is responsible for managing development projects for various compliance groups in the firm. Onshore "engagement" teams work closely with the customer on technology strategy, project management, requirements, design, testing, and implementation to provide systems solutions and to coordinate overall delivery using development and testing teams primarily in India.
The candidate will be responsible for executing high quality analysis for small and large projects in the regulatory and compliance business area (Employee Compliance Product). Most projects are currently implemented using an Agile methodology. The candidate will develop and/or contribute to documents covering requirements; functional systems design (SDS), technical design (TSD), and user interface design. Systems and user acceptance test plans and any other supporting documents and presentations necessary for successful projects may also be needed. As well, the candidate will in some instances provide basic project management for development teams of 3-5 persons and also perform systems and (when applicable) user acceptance testing. The candidate will also collaborate very closely with the many business partners that deal with the Employee Compliance applications.
The candidate will work in a cross-functional environment involving both onshore and offshore development resources, and will be proficient working with multiple development and delivery teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Write comprehensive and clear systems requirements/design documents
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives
- Manage tasks and deliverables in order to complete projects on schedule
- Support development managers including providing input to/creation of project plans and maintenance of project status.
- Work with QA teams in India to ensure adequate test coverage of system changes/enhancements
- Work with development teams in India to ensure they understand requirements and design and to address any questions that may arise during development
- Develop UAT test plans and coordinate closely with business partners to execute required test cases
- Write conclusive e-mails when resolving issues with the user community
- Develop recommendations on methodologies to improve systems analysis process
- Work across functional organizations
- Occasional travel to Boston for meetings with business partners
Education and Experience:
- Possess full project life cycle experience/knowledge, preferably including Agile
- Previous experience in a Compliance environment a plus
- 3+ years Systems Analysis experience

- Solid problem solving and critical thinking abilities, demonstrated analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Desired, but not required, is technical knowledge or the aptitude to learn quickly. This includes the ability to analyze data in MS Excel, write SQL to retrieve data from the database, reverse engineer Oracle PL/SQL code to understand business logic, XML, HTML/ASP.NET/C#
- Also desired is experience with Microsoft Office and other advanced desktop software such as Visio, Snag It, Beyond Compare, Expression Web etc.
