Senior Systems Analyst

Job Description: Responsible for analyzing internal and external customer needs. Identifies and determines equipment, software and process/procedural solutions to problems. Establishes system parameters and formats, and ensures hardware/software compatibility. Analyzes science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. May supervise computer programmers. Performs process and data modeling in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools. Applies reverse engineering and re-engineering disciplines to develop strategic and planning documents. Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and provides additional forms of knowledge transfer. Constructs sound, logical business improvement opportunities consistent with corporate Information Management guiding principles, cost savings, and system architecture objectives. Key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts. Required Skills Clearance required: Active Top Secret / SCI w Polygraph. Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing business or technical metrics/measures in the customer environment. Ability to look at the organization from a business/management perspective and identify metrics and reporting products that would be beneficial to the organization. Excellent writing skills, including creation of documents (e.g., Customer Requirements Documents), creation of management and executive level briefings, and design of reporting products. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of service providers and management (up to and including executive levels) in order to identify reporting requirements and explain metrics analysis. 5+ years experience working in/with an Infrastructure organization and knowledge of basic infrastructure and Operations Maintenance (OM) business areas and processes (e.g. help desk, close support, access, telephony support, systems administration, data center management, etc.) Excellent organizational and managerial skills. Ability to track multiple, distributed tasks and ensure that all project team members are moving forward and working to schedule and that management is kept aware of issues and risks as they arise. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Basic working knowledge of SharePoint Desired Skills: 10 years supervisory experience. Advanced degree a plus. Strong written and verbal skills as used in presentation, reports and instructional material for staff. Knowledge SRS system and service database ITIL Foundations v3 certification, or other infrastructure - relevant certification Project management experience or PMP certification. Education and Experience: BS/BA degree required in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related field. Must have 10+ years relevant experience. Experience may substitute Education.
