Senior Systems Analyst

The selected candidate will join the Business Systems Analysis Architecture team in Post Trade Technology, supporting trade clearing services and regulatory for CME Group Clearing and its business partners. We are high performing individuals that deliver on a broad range of analysis activities including requirements analysis, systems analysis, functional architecture, and interface analysis. Our team is responsible from the initial business request, impact assessment, and prioritization through detailed analysis and solution implementation.

The candidate's primary responsibilities will focus on the core clearing domain, including trade and position management, collateral management, deliveries, and shared services. The candidate will also contribute, and potentially lead, efforts on Confluence, our content creation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing tool.

Key activities:
• Create, manage, and execute the analysis work plan
• Elicit, define, organize, and manage requirements and analysis work product
• Accurately represent the interests of internal and external customers
• Contribute to the solution assessment, validation, and risk mitigation strategies
• Analyze complex issues and effectively communicate the impact/feasibility of proposed solutions
• Contribute to multiple concurrent business systems analysis efforts
• Establish constructive/cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time

Qualifications:
• Must have 4-6 years of business systems analysis experience or related area
• Financial Markets experience (e.g. exchange-based, OTC, FCM, brokerage house)
• Knowledge of derivatives, trade lifecycle, clearing, and post-trade processing
• Prior experience in implementing technology based projects
• Prior experience producing project-based analysis artifacts
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization
• Ability to facilitate, negotiate, and influence
• Ability to understand and absorb business and technology concepts quickly
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in a formal Requirements Management Process
• Prior experience using Confluence or similar knowledge management platform
• B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science or a similar degree strongly preferred, but substantial relevant experience could substitute
