COMPUTER - Life Technologies Corporation is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer in Carlsbad, CA. Candidate will work with the architecture, engineering, and development teams to maintain applications for internal and customers. Responsible for application project promotions, deployments, and maintenance releases. Responsible for insuring a stable applications infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining and creating automated processes for management of routine tasks. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study plus 7 years experience in the position offered or as a Software Engineer, Network Engineer, Systems Analyst, Applications Developer, Web Master, or Network Manager. Must have demonstrated Windows administration skills; Linux/ UNIX administration skills; solid TCP/IP networking skills; experience with Windows clusters; experience troubleshoot-ing with Registry, Event Viewer, Performance Monitor; experience writing shell scripts, Perl, and VB; experience with Java applications, Apache, Tomcat, Web Logic, and IIS; experience writing policies and procedures; experience in capacity measurement and planning; experience with ITIL service management standards and best practices; and basic Database knowledge.
