Key responsibilities for this position include but not limited to:

The Senior Systems Administrator position requires an experienced information technology professional with an advanced level of MS Windows Administration skills.  As part of a team, the Senior Systems Administrator will have full life cycle responsibility for the installation, configuration, maintenance and integration of production environment Microsoft associated services, software and firmware as well as VMWare and Citrix interfacing services.  This position will act as the administration lead for Microsoft Windows 2008 systems design, upgrade, security, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring and troubleshooting.   

 

Core Experience:

·     Microsoft Certification:  MCSA or MCSE 2003 or  MCITP 2008 (preferred)

·     Minimum of 8 years full life cycle systems administration experience in Windows 2003/2008 environments

·     Demonstrated knowledge of network-related peripherals and customized application configurations

·     Experience with IT security hardening, policies and procedures

·     System Administration experience within Citrix and VMWare enterprise environments

·     Analysis, research, product evaluation and knowledge transfer skills

·     CompTIA Security+ highly desirable but not required

 

Skills and Knowledge:

·         6 years of Configuration, troubleshooting and support of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 based server systems

·         6 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Domain Services (Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, File Print) and Group Policy administration

·         1 year of experience supporting virtualization technologies (VMware preferred)

·         6 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Patch Management solutions (WSUS or similar)

·         Experience implementing security measures in a Microsoft Windows Server environment

·         Experience with clustering technologies

·         Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communications skills

·         Solid Microsoft systems foundation with the motivation to further skills

·         Demonstration of  enterprise level full  lifecycle systems and services management

 

Clearance Requirements:

Must be a United States Citizen and currently have or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Top Secret Security Clearance.
