Senior Systems Engineer
Position Summary: Senior Systems Engineer with technical leadership of Engineering projects and Project Management for new medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing platforms, products, processes and cost improvements: - Systems Engineering responsibilities include the design, development and implementation of integrated, state-of-the-art automated manufacturing systems, controls and machine vision software applications.- Project Management responsibilities include leading a multi-disciplined, cross-functional team to deliver stated project objectives within cost, time, and quality constraints. Specific Job Duties - Sr. Systems Engineering: - Develop global automation requirements for DCS / PLC / SCADA / MES controls hardware and software automation solutions for state-of-the-art capital projects; develop and implement integrated solutions for product line and/or capacity expansions.- Facilitate internal and external resources to ensure successful applications development and integration activities through manufacturing validation to established acceptance criteria.- Develop and implement new technologies, data acquisition and performance measurement tools / techniques to gather and analyze critical data necessary to execute actions that increase OEE through improved product cost, quality, process capability and manufacturing reliability.- Experience with Pharmaceutical or Medical Device manufacturing engineering with emphasis on automated equipment / process design and operation, OEE improvements, project identification and execution in an Aseptic manufacturing environment highly desired. - Provide manufacturing training support, comprehensive systems documentation packages and preventative maintenance procedures for systems applications. Specific Job Duties - Project Management: - Partner with manufacturing sites to successfully create and implement project schedules and budget in order to meet overall program goals and capital programs.- Manage project schedules to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within budget. Proactively manage project scope to customer expectations; manage and approve scope changes.- Manage project communications and performance tracking metrics. Proactively disseminate project information to all stakeholders. - Identify, manage and mitigate project risk. Identify, manage, track and resolve project issues. Interface with internal and external customers and vendors.- Disciplined and general management skills to ensure project teams follow standard processes and procedures.- Established leadership skills to get the team to willingly follow your direction. Team building skills so that the people work together well, and feel motivated to work hard for the sake of the project and other team members.
