Senior Systems Engineer Job
The Senior Systems Engineer will assume full responsibility for the mechanical design of our downhole sensor product. Essential Responsibilities - Make mechanical design changes as needed to satisfy new order requirements - Review new and existing designs to improve quality - Evaluate field problems and understand field failures - Suggest needed improvements to the product - Work with manufacturing to cost reduce existing designs and improve the manufacturability of the product - Collect information about product performance and product failures - Make improvements to existing product documentation such as assembly and repair instructions, or create new documents as needed - Occasionally travel Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 7 years experience as a mechanical engineer with product/ project experience - Minimum of 1 year experience specifically with downhole tools in the Oil Gas Industry Eligibility Requirement: - Ability and willingness to travel, as required Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
