Responsibilities
This position will be a key member of the global tax team and will report to the Tax Director.
- Manages the US international tax compliance function which consists of the review and oversight of the foreign tax credit calculation (1118), the foreign affiliate information returns (5471), the foreign disregarded entity returns (8858), and other international compliance returns.
- Manages FIN 48 UTP documents which includes quarterly maintenance, the FIN 48 inventory check list, and various UTP schedules, as well as identifying and documenting new tax contingencies.
- Coordinates the global tax compliance process with global regional controllers and tax managers. Maintains relationships with worldwide advisors to coordinate international tax return preparation and review of returns
- Manages and documents the management fees allocations in various regions to ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines
- Partners with accounting and operations functions to maintain the company's Transfer Pricing policies and planning strategies to mitigate risk and facilitate efficient business operations
- Works with Finance and Legal departments to maintain and develop various intercompany agreements
- Plans, coordinates, and reviews U.S. and foreign transfer pricing planning studies with external advisors that includes fact gathering and financial and economic analysis.
- Maintains the Company's internal financing structure in the EU region by working closely with the Treasury and Consolidations team.
- Implements various international strategies.
- Assists in handling international tax examinations in various foreign countries.
- Helps with the quarterly and annual tax provisioning process with responsibilities for foreign related tax matters.
Qualifications Experience
- A detail oriented, hands-on and analytical tax professional with strong communication and writing skills.
- Confident, self-starter with ability to work with minimal direction .
- Masters in Taxation or LLM highly desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive tax experience; combination of big-4 and multinational corporate experience with exposures to transfer pricing and international taxation (both US international tax and foreign countries statutes).
- Competent in managing international tax accounting and transfer pricing documentation with minimal supervision.
- Must be detail-oriented and diligent, with a hands-on approach.
- Proactively assumes ownership and accountability when completing various projects.
- A team-work oriented person with good interpersonal skills.
