Senior Tax Manager, South South East Asia

This role works with APEA Division and Group Tax to implement and manage all tax related matters mainly across the South South East Asia region with anticipated interaction with the other locations in which ANZ does business.

Specifically you will be tasked with the provision of proactive tax consulting and risk management services for the region. You will provide transaction and product related tax advice, efficient tax structuring for MA activities and supporting major projects for the Singapore hub businesses and activities. You will also be expected to work closely with business and country stakeholders to manage ANZ's tax position.

Additionally, you will manage and coordinate the delivery of cross regional tax advice taking into consideration global, regional and local requirements. You will work with Head of Tax for SSEA and the relevant regional team members to manage tax risks for the region.

Development, documentation and implementation of regional transfer pricing policies in conjunction the ANZ tax transfer pricing team, that are consistent with Group policies while managing tax disputes, tax audits and relationships with local tax authorities in conjunction with local tax managers and/or CFOs also included.

Lastly, you will perform analysis and commentaries on the taxation aspect of balance date reporting including income tax expense and balance sheet tax accounts for the geographic segment. You will support the Head of Tax, South South East Asia to oversee and manage tax positions of countries in the region while assisting in lobbying and developing submissions to the tax authorities across the region.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you will be degree qualified, with an ability to build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You must have advanced level tax technical skills developed through a Big 4 accounting firm or similar inhouse role with a financial institution. Prior inhouse experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong influencing skills with an ability to work and make recommendations independently highly regarded.
