Title:                            Senior Technical Account Manager

 

Reports to:              President / CEO

 

Summary of Position:                                                                                         

Manage and direct inside sales efforts and customer support functions.  Through proactive and self-directed effort deepen current customer relationships, expand current sales channels, identify new sales channels, assist with market understanding, and manage customer accounts.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:                                                              

 

Inside Sales:

·         Manage inside sales efforts and program.

·         Collaborate and support outside sales efforts.

·         Establish and maintain relationships with customers.

·         Identify, develop, and secure all available sales opportunities.

·         Drive product sales to existing customers.

·         Identify and drive product sales to new customer and channels.

·         Expand product sales to existing and new customers.

·         Collect, aggregate and act on market information.

·         Manage sales materials and outreach efforts as applicable.

 

Customer Support:

·         Provide best in class service to existing and prospective customers.

·         Oversee and manage customer support efforts and supporting staff.

·         Participate with Operations Manager in the continuous improvement efforts.

·         Manage customer orders from owned accounts.

·         Manage customer satisfaction and order follow-up on owned accounts.

·         Collect, aggregate and act on customer support information.

 

Outside Sales Duties:

·         Manage inside sales staff in their participation in outside sales support and research duties.

·         Participate in tradeshow efforts including potential onsite sales.

·         As needed participate in client site visits.

 

Sales Management:

·         Collect, aggregate, act and report on relevant Sales and Customer Support data.

·         Oversee and manage supporting staff and team members.

·         Participate in sales strategy creation and implementation.

·         Manage sales funnel development.

·         Manage sales documentation through Visual CRM

 

Position Requirements / Qualifications:                                                   

 

·         Demonstrated sales and close ability using phone and web based tools.

·         Strong organizational skills.

·         Ability to convey vision and objectives to team members.

·         Ability to build and inspire team members in rapidly evolving environments.

·         Strong communication skills – written, verbal, interpersonal.

·         Ability to learn and retain product knowledge.

·         Ability to concisely convey technical information over the phone and through electronic communication.

·         Must be competent in the use of computers.

·         Strong understanding of Word, Excel, CRM Systems.

·         General understanding of manufacturing ERP systems.

·         Understanding of social media and web based selling is a plus.

 

Education and Experience:                                                                    

 

Desired:

·         Formal sales training in complex sales techniques.

·         5 to 7 years of heavy equipment / parts sales experience.

·         3 years of sales management experience.

·         3 years mechanical engineering / technical experience.

·         Specific experience with temperature, pressure, and controls.

 

Required:

·         Demonstrated mechanical ability.

·         5 years related industry experience.

·         2 years related industry sales experience.

·         Demonstrated sales leadership ability.
