The Analytics and Modelling Team in Portfolio Analysis and Segmentation is part of Transformation Analytics. We work towards CBS' goals by:
- Providing targeted and timely analytics to help frontline teams understand their customers, anticipate their needs, and tailor solutions/offers to match those needs
- Helping frontline teams to have relevant one-to-one conversations with their customers through data driven marketing and innovative fulfilment
- Providing opportunities for team-members to up-skill their business and technical skills and foster stronger engagement with the front-line sales force
- Striving to be the centre and excellence for analytics, sales support, data driven marketing and innovative fulfilment in Business and Institutional Banking
- Building and embedding the RM workbenches / insights tools to deliver the relevant insights that frontline teams utilise for customer retention, cross sell and acquisition initiatives
Role Purpose:
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining applications designed to support sales and service for staff within Business Private Banking and Institutional Banking Markets. This role has a specific focus on developing a robust, configurable, expandable and integrated solution for the delivery of both static and dynamic industry insight information to front line staff via an Industry Knowledge Centre.
Key Accountabilities:
Internal and External Client / Customer Service
- Gather and interpret business requirements from Institutional Banking Markets and Business Private Banking and SMEs within the Industry Specialisation team and community.
- Assess the information structure of the existing Industry Knowledge Centre and known enhancements and provide recommendation on optimal scalable structure in line with business requirements.
- Build an industry insight site (the Industry Knowledge Centre) that can be easily configured, maintained and updated by non IT BPB team that also leverages the platforms and analytics developed in the CBS team.
- Provide input on application design to ensure excellent useability, performance and industry leading user interface design.
- Plan and negotiate project timelines and communicate progress.
- Resolve performance issues with SQL server and troubleshoot individual JS/VBA applications.
- Scope projects based on required strategic outcome, available data and desired analytical approach.
- Execution of strategic, tactical and ad hoc analytics to support IBM and BPB outcomes using appropriate analytic techniques.
Contribution to Business / Profit
- Provide sales and service support to the frontline by developing and further enhancing the Client Market Analysis toolkit. Develop Web based applications that are responsive, logical and flexible to changing requirements
- Build a robust technical environment by improving processes, including developing and maintaining data models.
- Expand the breath of industry insights in the Industry Knowledge Centre based on ideas and feedback of high end users of the site
- Identify areas of synergy within the Banks data source structure to leverage existing systems/resources to achieve project outcomes
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Developing websites in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Visual Basic (VBA/VB)
- Degree in Maths, Statistics or equivalent qualifications in a relevant discipline
- MS Excel and Access (advanced)
- SQL (T-SQL, Teradata)
- SQL Server 2000/2005 (stored procedures, DBA)
- At least 2 years experience with essential requirements
- Knowledge of CBA GroupDataWarehouse
- Relevant Banking experience
