Senior Technical Consultant recruitment
Position Purpose:
To provide technical expertise and design, develop and implement the range of software solutions comprised of offerings include Teller solutions, Customer Account maintenance servi cing, Call Center, CTI, Originations, Campaigns Leads, Sales Force automation, Workflow, Business Intelligence, and miscellaneous others.
These solutions run on “wintel” platforms, utilizing C++, C#, .NET technologies in the main. The successful candidate will be expected to be a senior member of a team of application developers consisting of both local and remote (including outsourced) resources in successful and on time customizations and integrations of the organization's solutions. Should be able to personally do effectively any of the task on any phase of Software Development Life Cycle, as well as able to team lead and coach a team of 3 or more consultants on a Development or Upgrade project, this includes offshore resources.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise and design and develop / enhance Fiserv software applications developed using C++, C#, .NET, and related technologies for the ASPAC business unit.
• Participate in the various activities of the data migration / conversion/retrofit or software upgrade projects following any defined organization processes.
• Participate in all the activities across the software development life cycle – Requirement gathering, Technical design, design specifications, coding, testing, pre-sales/proof of concept support.
• Participate in the various phases of software testing in projects, on client site and offsite.
• Ensure that all development standards have been met and quality software is delivered to the end-user.
• Provide technical team leadership function in software development projects of small to medium complexity generally with team size of three (3) or less technical staff.
Additional Job Information:
This position may require travel to client sites on projects, sales support visits and other reasons.
Required Qualifications Skills:
• A candidate with a degree or diploma in a relevant IT discipline with a focus on software application development is preferred.
• At least 4 to 6 years of software development experience in a similar capacity is required.
• Working experience in the financial services information technology industry working for an application software vendor, bank or other financial institution with experience in OLTP application development is expected.
Technical Skills:
• Strong Object Oriented Design and Development experience
• Strong knowledge and experience with Programming languages C++ (VC++) and C# .NET is a must.
• Experience with the use of IDEs Visual Studio 6.0 (VC++), Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 for development.
• Knowledge and experience with developing transactional software
• Knowledge and experience with the use of source control software Visual Source Safe, Microsoft Team System.
• Knowledge and experience with HTML, XML, XML Schemas, XSL Transformation and related technologies.
• Internet/web application development experience using ASP .NET server side technology is a must.
• Knowledge and experience with JavaScript VBScript client-side scripting technologies is a must.
• Experience in use of RDBMS and specifically Microsoft SQL Server, with working experience of using SQL and related technologies.
• Knowledge and experience with multi-platform application integration and techniques including use TCP/IP socket programming, Message queuing (MSMQ, IBM MQ Series), Web services and other techniques is an advantage.
Functional Skills:
• Strong knowledge of financial services industry.
• Knowledge and familiarity of banking software applications such as Retail/Teller Systems, CRM systems, Loan Originations systems, Internet banking applications, Mobile banking, Workflow, or BPM systems is required.
