Senior Technical Support Analyst recruitment

The Role / Responsibilities:

To provide 2nd line support of Windows based clients and mobile technology covering the EMEA region.   Specific Functions

Desktop Support

• Provide second level support for software and hardware problems locally and remotely in EMEA. Work closely with global MIT teams to resolve problems.
• Work with Global MIT teams on implementing and troubleshooting software and hardware upgrades in EMEA.
• Involvement in installation and maintenance of third party and in house applications.
• Responsibility for the installation and maintenance of workstations.
• Work as a point of escalation for desktop issues.
• Identify preventative measures for recurring incidents
• Primary contact for VIP’s

Miscellaneous

• Installation of Infrastructure Hardware
• Provide guidance to the team.
 Process improvement
• Provide support for photocopier and printer software problems in EMEA.
• Maintenance of technical equipment asset inventories for EMEA offices.
• Involvement in MIT aspects of office internal moves.
• Document maintenance
• Ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications:

• BSc in Computer Science or MIS preferred
• Some level of Microsoft Certification preferred
• ITIL V3 foundation certified preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7 , MS Office 2007 Professional , Mcafee Endpoint Encryption, Symantec Endpoint protection, VPN and AVAMAR.
• Must be able to perform hardware tasks
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Previous experience supporting professional end-users
