Senior Technology Analyst – Leading Financial Consultancy
My client is a leading provider of analytical performance reports and consulting to the world’s top tier financial services firms. Their ability to consistently add value to companies’ business performance and productivity has enabled them to establish long-term partnerships with top tier clients.
An opportunity exists for a Senior Technology Analyst with a strong background in technology to join a new but growing business within the wider organization in either the New York or London office. The team is responsible for providing Strategy Consulting and Benchmarking services by leveraging primary data pools to help solve a broad range of client problems through generating innovative data analytic solutions.
The Senior Analyst will be required to manage and execute delivery of consulting projects aimed at improving the efficiency of clients’ businesses and handling relationships with the company’s financial market clients. The Analyst will also be expected to analyze large data pools to support reports and recommendations to help aid in project delivery.
The successful candidate will have significant experience as a consultant to the financial services industry and understands what happens after a trade is made.
Required Experience:
- 5-10 years experience in strategy or management consulting to Financial Markets firms, preferably within a ‘Big 4’ type consulting firm, or within the project area of a Bank
- Very good technology/programming skills especially with regards to data technologies and knowledge in building and utilizing SQL Server relational databases.
- Experience in internal or external client project work
- Knowledge of reporting tools or visualization tools (Qlikview, Business Objects, Essbase, Cognos etc)
- Ability and experience managing various stages of application development, including requirements gathering, QA/testing and deployment.
- Bachelors Degree
Required Skills:
- Ability to work Collaboratively but can work on Independent projects
- Strong project management acumen
- Quantitative analysis understanding
- Presence and stature to be able to communicate with C-levels of client firms
- Structured thinking and analytical approach
