Senior Telecommunications IT Analyst Job
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning execution and tracking of Functional, Regression and System/Integration testing for a large Data Warehouse System
- Working closely with the business analyst, developers, database analysts, and other team members through Project initiation to closure
- Analyzing business and technical requirements to define testing objectives and create detailed test cases/scripts
- Developing and executing test scripts utilizing HP's Quality Center
- Participating in test plan and test case reviews, maintain testing issues lists and follow up as necessary
- Coordinating with interfacing teams for test files, environment setup, and test case execution
- Assisting Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving defects
Job Qualifications:
- 6+ years experience in Backend Database Testing
- Experience in IT Telecommunication
- Experience in testing Tera Data and building complex sql queries
- Experience in testing Data Stage
- Experience in testing UNIX environments
- Experience testing in batch and interactive mainframe environments
- Strong communication, both oral and written is required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Self-motivated to learn new concepts and skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Strategic and tactical thinking
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of situations
- Demonstrate strong facilitation skills during all phases of testing, especially User Testing
- Ability to monitor progress, status and execution and provide detailed direction and feedback
- Ability to quickly gain system expertise and become a contributor to the team
